Lon Ardudwy Cycle Route

The Lon Ardudwy cycle route links the promenade at Barmouth with the Cob at Porthmadog. With stunning views across Cardigan Bay and the Rhinogydd mountain range, the path was designed as a relatively ‘easy’ ride whether in its entirety or in smaller manageable sections.

The route adopts the narrow lanes of the hinterland along the Ardudwy coast, linking to key villages along the way.

History buffs would do well to visit the magnificent Dyffryn Ardudwy prehistoric burial chambers found on the fringe of the village of Dyfryn Ardudwy.

Personally if I had to choose only one cycle route from Barmouth I would choose the Mawddach Trail as it is both traffic free and flat.

Bicycles are available for hire from the Birminham Garage close to the Barmouth Bridge.
